    The Chelsea Towers Condos has been around for some time now: built back in 1989, it even predates many of its inhabitants. In fact, the community living at 4205 Shipp Drive and 4185 Shipp Drive is fairly young, with the majority of residents under the age of 45.

    The pair of towers is covered mainly in glass, save for brick that wraps around each corner of the two buildings. Both structures rise to 27 storeys, and together they contain 405 homes. Regardless of which building one lives in, every resident of the Chelsea Towers has access to an impressive set of amenities that includes an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a tennis court, a party room, a games room, barbecues, and a concierge.

    The Suites

    With suites ranging from around 650 to approximately 1,300 square feet, all sorts of prospective residents can find what they’re looking for at the Chelsea Tower Condos. Homes contain one bedroom, one bedroom plus a den, or two bedrooms, and many are incredibly modern (despite the aesthetics in the lobby).

    Many units at 4185 and 4205 Shipp Drive have been renovated in recent years, resulting in kitchens with breakfast bars and stainless steel appliances, plus other contemporary details throughout. And although there are no balconies to be found in either of the two buildings, floor-to-ceiling windows help to bring the outdoors in.

    Living at 4205 Shipp Drive is perfect for those who don’t like to compromise: residents are surrounded by winding residential streets, schools, and parks, and yet they live within walking distance of countless attractions and amenities. Situated in the Downtown Core, the Chelsea Towers Condos is steps from Square One Shopping Centre, Playdium Amusement Centre, Cineplex Cinemas Mississauga, and the Art Gallery of Mississauga — just to name a few.

    Transportation

    Residents of 4185 and 4205 Shipp Drive have no trouble getting around Mississauga, regardless of how they like to travel. Drivers, for one, can reach the 401 in just a few minutes, thanks to the on-ramp at Hurontario Road. As for those without cars of their own, residents need only cross the street to reach a stop for the 20 Rathburn bus.

    Great location near the highway yet quiet, with a private garden, playground and ongoing updates w/ new elevators. Transparent management and future LRT access nearby to come!

    The building served me well. Laundry in-unit was a huge plus and I never had issues with noise from neighbors. The gym was functional but could use an upgrade I suppose. I moved mainly for more space, not because of any real dissatisfaction. For the time I lived there, it felt like a solid, convenient place to call home.
