Buildings do not manage themselves, people do. We lost count of management changes - at least twenty now.! We seem to be a training ground for managers. As soon as they get some experience they tend to leave. I love my condo in terms of size, location and my lake view. As a long term resident, I knew when our building was better managed. Customer service sucks. Owners can't seem to get answers to basic questions such as : When are you guys going clean our windows or hallway carpet? We have Security at nights but with recurring potholes, poor lighting in a vulnerable part of the building and with us being the only building in Scarborough with one entrance, Safety is a concern. Our building lacks curb appeal. They plant beautiful flowers but there is no landscaping to speak up. Some rental buildings like 225 Markham Road have curb appeal. Most owners complain about not getting value in line with increasing condo fees. Generally, there are two sets of owners - some settle for mediocrity, while others advocate for improvements. One positive is our Owners ' Action Committee, since 2007. We advocate for improvements,on behalf of owners.
